  • Most-like titles
  • Nanocrowd genres
  • Nanocrowd minigenres
  • Viewer keywords
  • Crowd rating

We'll show you the data that led us to choose titles for Minari, Judas and the Black Messiah, and Nomadland. And then, we’ll show you the complete list of suggested titles for each nominee.

MINARI

Minari is one of our favorite movies, so it was particularly fun to analyze it and see which movies our algorithm selected for viewers who enjoyed it.

Not surprisingly, 4 out of 5 of these titles are American Immigrant stories about families from Poland, Columbia, India, and Ireland. Shoplifters isn't an immigrant story at all, but it has many parallel moving family themes that audiences responded to it similarly.

Judas and the Black Messiah

Judas and the Black Messiah is a powerful movie. It sits squarely in our Politics and Human Rights genre, with keywords including historical, powerful, political, racism, violence, and emotional. It was interesting that J. Edgar made it onto the list of recommended titles. Although racism wasn't one of its top keywords, audiences described so many of the same themes that it was among our top 5.
